As many of you know, Goldie, our heart hero was born with complex congenital heart disease (CHD). She had a rare in-utero procedure at 24 weeks gestation, that saved her from developing a single ventricle, and that procedure quite literally changed the trajctory of her life. Since then, she has endured three open heart surgeries showing her incredible strength and resilience every day! 

This November, we are walking in The Children's Heart Foundation Congeital Heart Disease Heart Walk as the Heart of Goldie Team! 

Why does this matter? 

• CHD is the most common birth defect in the United States, affecting 1 in 100 babies. 
• The Children's Heart Foundation is the country's leading organization solely dedicated to funding congenital heart defect (CHD) research funding nearly $18 million in CHD research and scientific collaborations.
• For Goldie, we experienced the life changing impacts of cutting edge scientific studies. The in-utero procedure she had done changed the trajectory of her life and is available based on the years and years of studies and research about Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).
