My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.

At just 6 weeks old, my sister, Madeline was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot and was immediately admitted to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh for observation and open heart surgery. On June 2, 2020, Madeline underwent her full repair surgery, and she has yet to look back. Today, she is an amazing, smart, funny, happy, and resileint four year old. While she will need life long care and procedures to treat her CHD, her future is very bright. We could not be more thankful for her and the scientific advances and research that make life for children born with CHD possible.
