Overview

In 2019, AT&T and Junior Achievement celebrated a 100-year-old collaboration. AT&T's connection to Junior Achievement goes back to the very beginning, when AT&T's First President, Theodore Vail co-founded the nonprofit youth organization in 1919.

Over these 100+ years, Junior Achievement grew to become one of the world's largest organizations dedicated to preparing young people for success in the global economy. AT&T has been a leading supporter of Junior Achievement, working to create 'job shadowing' opportunities where students get to interact with a wide range of AT&T employees, including technical and customer service representatives, product and service managers, and marketing and advertising executives.

We encourage our employees to volunteer to inspire and prepare young people to succeed.

The Junior Achievement Play Fore JA is a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign to support youth work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship programs across the Nation. Every $1 raised helps empower our future business leaders to succeed in a global economy.

Participation in the Junior Achievement event is completely voluntary, appreciated, and encouraged by Junior Achievement staff and students. Junior Achievement reserves the right to refuse golfing privileges to teams and individuals who do not meet the minimum fundraising goals specified on the event site.

Teams and individuals are expected to engage in peer-to-peer fundraising activities to raise needed funds for the sole use by Junior Achievement to deliver youth programs throughout the USA.
