As part of the Aquatic staff, we know, that it is team work, that helps keep our pools safe and helps our community. The Polar Bear Plung gives us a chance to keep the giving going, while also helping us strenghten our bonds with each other.

Polar Bear Plungers are a merry band of friends, alumni, teachers, campers, and staff who believe in the transformative power of Camp Fitch YMCA. By fundraising for the Fitch 4 All Initiative our Plungers help bring to our shore kids who need financial support to experience our great camp on a Great Lake.

Polar Bear is an old summer camp tradition to start every day with a quick swim: our Plungers take this to next level for the Fitch 4 All Initiative by being the first to swim each year in the icy waters of Lake Erie the weekend of March 12th or remotely in icy waters of their choosing!
