I remember Camp Fitch fondly.
I earned multiple archery awards there.
I got caught in a low lying branch riding a horse there.
Lighting would hit the flag pole in the center of camp causing a roar and then a 'ping' sound.
We had to cabents- a combination of tent and cabin that i've seen nowhere else.
I remember shooting .22 lr at the rifle range. I think they charged $1.25 for 10 rounds.
I remember waking up and being a 'polar bear' taking a swim first thing in the morning before the sun warmed the pool.
I remember playing british bulldog- a rough and tumble game with few rules similar to red rover.
I remember visiting camp as an adult and seeing the furniture from my aunt and uncle's sun room outside the kitchen door of the mess hall.
These are memories that I hold dear and believe that other young men should have a chance to experience.
