Our Polar Plunge team at St. Pat’s was founded by our student (now alum) James Caprio around 2017. What started as his personal mission to grow a small team and raise a few thousand dollars has turned into a powerful, student-led tradition.

James first came to our Lasallian Youth group looking for support in expanding the team. His goal? 50 students. Today, our team has grown beyond anything he imagined—now 330 students strong and completely student-driven.

From day one, our students have taken ownership of the recruitment, fundraising, and team spirit that make this event a success. Just like James, they bring creativity, leadership, and heart to everything they do. Now, three student leaders, as part of Lasallian Youth, continue this legacy—living out the Lasallian values of respect, inclusion, social justice, and faith.
