Ah, another new year. It is a good time to: make soon-to-be-forgotten resolutions; prepare excuses for my sports teams; and, of course, take a dip in beautiful Lake Michigan!

On Sunday, March 2, 2025, I will participate in the Polar Plunge® Chicago benefitting Special Olympics Illinois. Won't you support me in this worthwhile cause?

Your donation helps fund Special Olympics Illinois programs that provide sports and athletic activities for athletes of all ages and empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to discover new strengths and achieve personal milestones. Simply stated: Special Olympics transforms the lives of their athletes. As a volunteer at many Special Olympics events, I have experienced that transformation firsthand. The love and support the athletes show for each other is beyond heartwarming and your “smile muscles” will never be the same! 

This year I am happy to participate in the Plunge for my sister who wanted to join but due to a myriad of health issues in 2024 is unable to do so. Even so, she remains the kindest, most thoughtful person I have ever known. "Lvu."
