Why I Plunge

Lean in with me as I do the Polar Plunge this Sunday, March 2, 2025! 

It will be icy waters despite the recent 50 degree, sunny days.

It is for Special Olympics Illinois presented by Special Children's Charities, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events! I am excited to take on the challenge and jump into Lake Michigan's chilly waters to support thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities. With your support, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments.

Because they are Special, I lean into the plunge!

There are two easy ways to support my plunging efforts:
