On Sunday, March 2, 2025 I will participate in Polar Plunge® Chicago for Special Olympics Illinois presented by Special Children's Charities, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events!
I am excited to take on the challenge for the 8th year and jump into Lake Michigan's chilly waters to support thousands of individuals with intellectual disabilities. With your support, people with intellectual disabilities have the opportunity to discover new strengths, abilities, and accomplishments.
I started plunging in honor of my Aunt Dawn who had Down Syndrome. I continue to plunge in her honor as well as in honor of all of the athletes I had opportunities to coach through the park district and for all the students that I have had the pleasure of teaching.
