On Sunday, March 2, 2025 I will participate in Polar Plunge® Chicago for Special Olympics Illinois presented by Special Children's Charities, one of the city's most popular winter fundraising events! I am excited to take on the challenge and jump into Lake Michigan's chilly waters. As an occupational therapist, I have the privilege of working with incredible kids every day. This year, I was thrilled to help Byrne's students regularly participate in Special Olympics, and the rewards have been nothing short of amazing. Not only are these kids learning new skills and having a blast, but some have even qualified for state competitions! The joy, confidence, and growth I've witnessed are beyond inspiring. Supporting Special Olympics means supporting these remarkable students and their continued success. That’s why I take the plunge — for them and their boundless potential.
