My Personal Fundraising Page

On March 7th I'm plunging for my son, for the athletes I've had the privilege of coaching, and for every individual who deserves the opportunity to play, compete, and belong. My son's journey has made my passion for inclusion even more personal. I want him, and every individual with a disability, to grow up in a world where they are accepted, included, and given every opportunity to play, compete, and belong. Please help me make that possible!

Why I Plunge

I plunge because I believe every person deserves the opportunity to play, compete, dream big, and feel like they belong. No disability should ever determine what someone is capable of achieving or take away their opportunity to experience the joy of sports.

Since I was 15 years old, I've had the privilege of working with individuals with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. I've coached Special Olympics softball, track and field, swimming, and basketball, and in those years, I've gained so much more than I could ever give. I've seen the excitement of an athlete making a basket, the determination to cross a finish line, the pride of learning something new, and the friendships that grow along the way. I've seen what it means for these athletes to show up every Tuesday. The joy on their faces, the determination in their hearts, and the competitive spirit they bring are something you simply cannot put into words. They don't show up looking for sympathy. They show up ready to compete, have fun, challenge themselves, and give it everything they've got.

Now, as a mother to a two-year-old son with physical and mental disabilities, this mission has taken on an entirely new meaning. What was once something I was passionate about has become something I will fight for on a much more personal level. I think about the opportunities I want my son to have, the experiences I want him to enjoy, and the world I want him to grow up in. I want him to know that he is capable, that he belongs, and that his dreams are just as worthy as anyone else's.

I plunge for the athletes who have inspired me over the years. I plunge for my son and for every parent who hopes their child will be accepted, included, and given the same opportunities as everyone else. And I plunge for a world where inclusion isn't something we have to ask for, but something we make a priority.

Because everyone deserves a chance to play. Everyone deserves a chance to compete. And everyone deserves a chance to belong.
