This June, I am going to turn a few hours of fun into improved opportunities for local young people by participating in Junior Achievement’s Bowl-a-Thon. This event, which takes place Saturday, June 16th, gives a tremendous financial boost to Junior Achievement. I am raising funds to support their efforts to help improve the quality of life for our young people.

More than 900 business people volunteer their time in classrooms to talk to students about career exploration, work ethics, staying in school, and personal development. Junior Achievement programs are available for students in grades kindergarten through 12th, and prepare young people to be successful in the workforce and in life.

I am securing pledges for Junior Achievement’s Bowl-a-Thon, all money raised from this event will be used to provide classroom materials for students and training for volunteers. In addition, all contributions are tax-deductible.
