Hi everyone! On Sunday October 20th I will be participating the 30th annual Heart and Sole walk for the Potter League Animal Shelter. As some of you may know, in June 2019 I decided that I was interested in adpoting a cat. One day my friend and I walked into the Potter League to visit the cats. On this day, I found my best "furr-friend," Milo. Milo is currently is a 7 month old kitten. Milo's story is the reason I am walking and raising donations for the Potter League. Here's his story:
When I adopted Milo at the age of 3 months, his health records were clean minus a small heart murmur, which is extremley common in kittens. A few months later we did a follow up visit to re-check this heart murmur. After many evaluations, speciality visits with the cardiologist, and doctors visits, Milo was diagnosed with a rare heart condition called apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Minus this medical set back, Milo is a very healthy, happy, crazy, and sweet kitten. In order to help other animals like Milo, we can walk to raise money to help support medical fees, food fees, and other fees that the Potter League has.
