Theo was rescued in 2016 by the Potter League's transport program, which brings dogs that would have been euthanized from areas with overpopulation to the shelter for adoption. Since then, he has quickly charmed everyone with his good looks and spotted toungue and walks proudly in the Heart & Sole Walk for Animals to help support the shelter's efforts.
So, please help us reach our goal this year! The Heart & Sole Walk is crucial to the shelters success in saving and helping animals find shelter and homes - and every $1 counts.
Potter League (Background + Fun Facts):
- The Potter League is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of animals. They promote the humane treatment of all animals and provide shelter and care for lost or unwanted companion animals
- They're an "open admission" shelter so they accept owner-surrendered animals and stray animals (they receive ~2,000 animals annually)
- The transport program has been transporting dogs and puppies since 1996 (and there is still a huge need / waiting list for these furry friends to be adopted in New England)
- My grandmother (current Customer Care Manager) has been working at the shelter since way before I was born, and is an incredible resource to the community and customers that walk in. Even though I wasn't looking to adopt back in 2016, she recognized something in Theo and knew that he would be the perfect match for me
