My Story

Welcome to my personal fundraising page!

As Director of Shelter Medicine at Potter League for Animals, I am so excited to join hundreds of animal lovers and their pets participating in the Potter League's 32nd Annual Heart & Sole Walk for Animals on Sunday, October 24, 2021!

The medical care and services that our veterinary team provides to our shelter animals would never be possible without your donations. Thanks to your caring support, we are able to provide wellness care and spay & neuter surgeries to every animal in our shelter.  Your donations also help us provide life saving diagnostics and treatments for any sick or injured shelter pet that enters our care. It is always our goal to help manage their cases and give them a second chance at finding a loving home.

Every animal I examine holds a special place in my heart, but it's those challenging cases that remind me of why we are in this field. The ones that need advocating for; the ones that face so many obstacles but with the right amount of care and attention, can become healthy and adoptable.

This year for our Annual Heart & Sole Walk , I am walking to raise funds for animals like:

  • Bogie, the stray kitten who arrived to PLFA with a traumatic injury to his face and fractured humerus. With conservative treatment and care in a foster home, Bogie recovered from his injuries and was adopted into wonderful home.
  • Bear, the senior german shepherd suffering from severe allergic dermatitis.  After receiving the care and treatment he needed, he regained his beautiful haircoat and more importantly found his perfect adopter.
  • Marley, the emaciated, uncontrolled diabetic cat with pancreatitis that went through months of medical management before finally being adopted into her next loving home willing to continue her care.
  • And countless more cases that received labwork, radiographs, ultrasounds, emergency care, veterinary specialist consults, surgeries, and various treatments that could have never been possible withour your donations.

I am so incredibly proud to work with my team of dedicated staff and volunteers who give these animals the TLC they deserve, and I am so thankful for our donors for providing the resources we need to provide this care. It truly takes a village.

In addition to medical care, your donation will help provide food and a second chance for thousands of homeless animals this year. You will also be supporting the spay/neuter program, behavior services, mobile food pantry and outreach clinics. These are only a few of the many programs provided by the Potter League and you are welcome to visit their website at http://www.potterleague.org.

Please make a gift with your tax-deductible gift to sponsor my participation.  Your gift will help ensure that the Potter League can continue to be there for the animals no matter what comes our way. I truly appreciate your friendship and support, as do the animals and entire team at the Potter League for Animals.

Thank you for your help and support!
