Last year was my first year at the Potter League, my official induction into actively supporting such an amazing animal welfare organization that helps so many animals and the people who love them. I am so excited to again join hundreds of animal lovers and their pets participating in the Potter League's vital fundraiser, the 34th annual Heart & Sole Walk for Animals on Sunday, October 22, 2023
Last year I shared the stories of my two cats Tibbers and Annie. For those of you who know the video game "League of Legends," you will know where the names came from that my son's, Douglas and George, decided for them. Annie is a tuxedo and Tibbers is a ginger.

"Dangerous, yet disarmingly precocious, Annie is a child mage with immense pyromantic power. Even in the shadows of the mountains north of Noxus, she is a magical outlier. Annie and Tibbers are both rescues, and they rescue me with their unconditional love every day. Annie and Tibbers are fiery protectors of their community, I like to think the Potter League is that protector of so many innocent animals that need support and loving homes. The work this organization does to help animals in need inspires me every day! That is my WHY!
