Event Information
Project Funway is a competitive fashion show that benefits Fresh Start. The fashion show is a competition with UNL TMFD designers and is open to community designers. The night includes an alumna speaker, live interactive slideshow, and awards ceremony. Our exciting silent auction, wine pull, Daisy Thrift Shop pop-up boutique, and voting for your favorite designers all support the women of Fresh Start. Light appetizer buffet, dessert, cash bar available.
Our evening starts with shopping at The Daisy Thrift Shop pop-up boutique and perusing our exciting silent auction items. Then, make your way into the grand ballroom for the program which starts at 7:00, followed by the runway competition.
Bid online in the Givi app (in-person or virtually) and help support women experiencing homelessness today. This is Fresh Start's annual fundraiser, and our funding needs are greater than ever.
NEW THIS YEAR: We want to give our residents a voice at the event, so for the first time, we will be offering for sale boxes of handmade greeting cards designed by our residents! They will also enjoy the event live-streamed to Fresh Start, along with pizza and a few surprises sponsored by amazing Fresh Start supporters like YOU.
This is our 16th and FINAL year for Project Funway. Our partner program at UNL for textiles and merchandising/fashion design students was unfortunately closed down by the NU Board of Regents. 'The Final Walk' is your last chance to attend and support one of Lincoln's biggest fashion events of the year!
