Highlights:   Retired after 60 years of success in a business my husband and I founded.   Mother of four, grandmother of 14, great great grandmother of 14  

Favorite teacher:  My Latin teacher, Miss Pfahl from Buchtel.  She forgave me when I left her stranded in the metroparks with a flat tire and forgot to call her parents to pick her up.  Fortunately the Metroparks Police found her shortly after I left.  

Advice:  Study hard and learn as much you are able.   Make friends with everyone and help those who are having problems.   Participate in activities and leadership opportunities.  

Why are you supporting Project GRAD Akron's scholarship fund?: I am supporting Project Grad to support the students of my Alma Mater, Buchtel.   The education I received there was invaluable in my life and I want to see today's Akron students succeed and enjoy some of the opportunities I have enjoyed because of that education.  Make the world a better place.
