We're going bowling! Not just as a chance for teambuilding so we can be resilient in our work, but to raise awareness and donations for Proof Alliance's mission to prevent prenatal alcohol exposure and support those impacted by fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).
FASD is a group of conditions caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. The effects of prenatal alcohol exposure can include birth defects, brain injury and lifelong disabilities.
FASD affects more lives than many realize, with as many as 1 in 20 children in the United States living with an FASD. In Minnesota alone, an estimated 8,755 babies are born each year exposed to alcohol prenatally. Prenatal alcohol exposure can lead to lifelong challenges, but together, we can raise awareness, support impacted families and work toward healthier outcomes for every child.
