Welcome to Lolo's Lions team page, thank you so much for visiting! We are so excited to be participating in the Buddy Walk again this year and would be honored if you would join us on October 6th from 1-4pm at the Zoo. It is a day full of smiles, dancing, and all around feel-goods! Proceeds from the walk benefit the Down Syndrome Community of Puget Sound - their mission is to provide impactful programs and resources for individuals with Down syndrome and their families while evolving perceptions in the broader community. 

Our little bud has had a huge year! He underwent open heart surgery about a month after last year's walk; despite how hard it was on all of us, it was a success and he shouldn't need any future surgeries. During that time, we felt so supported by our family, friends, coworkers, and even by some very generous people who we had never met! Lolo works so hard every week during his therapy appointments and play-therapy group, and has made great strides in his development. He got glasses a few weeks ago and keeps them on surprisingly well! Lolo loves to read books, say "dadadada", go on walks, clap his hands, and engage with other kiddos and adults. He is a curious, silly, smiley, determined, and very happy little dude!

There is a button underneath the fundraiser thermometer that says "Join My Team" - if you plan on joining us for the walk, be sure to join the team and register ahead of time so that you can get free admission to the Zoo on the day of the walk. Registration is free and please don't feel obligated to donate - your support is felt and appreciated no matter how you show it! 

More details to come about where we will meet and what time. We will also be making shirts this year :) let Manuel or I know if you are interested!
