Piedmont Triad Apartment Association Virtual Food & Fund Drive

For too many families, the summer break from school is less about fun in the sun and more about coping with added challenges. The majority of children lose access to the free or low-cost meals they receive during the school year. Childcare expenses often go up. Many families will turn to the Second Harvest network for help.

This is the twentieth year that the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association (PTAA) is partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, and we're ready to step up to the plate! Hunger is a year-round challenge that doesn't take a summer break, so we've set our goal at 500,000 meals—an impressive target but one we know we can hit!

Every dollar raised on this page goes directly to Second Harvest Food Bank, who will use each dollar to provide seven meals through food boxes and backpacks, as well as prepared community meals for families, children, and seniors, and a multitude of other programs designed to combat food insecurity and meet the nutritional needs of Triad families.

We're also excited to Fill the Stands with Cans once again, partnering with the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Winston Salem Dash for Fill the Stands with Cans. On Friday, June 14, we will Fill the Stands with Cans at the Winston Salem Dash game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Catch us on Saturday, July 13, for Fill the Stands with Cans at the Greensboro Grasshoppers game as they take on the Winston Salem Dash. Attendees at both ballparks can donate unperishable, unexpired food and monetary donations at the game before enjoying a night of some of the best baseball in the Carolinas.
