We are Raising Money for P.S. 212

Every $50 we raise will enable one student at PS 212 to receive JA programming, every $1000 we raise will enable one class at PS 212 to receive JA programming. From personal finance to entrepreneurship, JA programs give kids the chance to develop the skills they need to become confident, savvy leaders in the real world. Funds raised in excess of school needs will support JA’s programming in neighboring low and moderate income schools in NYC and Long Island.

PS 212 is an elementary school serving more than 780 students. They have above average test scores, even though a large proportion of its students are English language learners. It has a warm and supportive tone.

Students at PS 212 do lots of projects, go on field trips, and have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. Students take Literacy through the Arts class, where they practice yoga, among other physical and arts-based activities, to improve their speaking, reading, and writing skills.

The school offers a mix of integrated and self-contained classes for English language learners. Some students are taught in self-contained classes taught by ESL teachers, while others are integrated into general education or CTT classes with their English-speaking peers. PS 212 offers classes for students with special needs as well.
