Meet Michael Kowski, McKinney's Top Model Contender! 

CONTESTANT: Michael Kowski (President and CEO, McKinney Economic Development Corporation)

BIO: Michael Kowski currently serves as the President & CEO of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). He has held this position since October of 2023.

Michael previously served for over six years as McKinney’s Director of Parks and Recreation. Before that, he was the Assistant Director of Development Services in a Chicago suburb, overseeing engineering, project management, planning, and economic development activities.

Michael is a credentialed city planner (AICP) and a Certified Urban Designer (CUD). He holds graduate degrees from the University of Illinois-Chicago and Harvard University where he completed advanced studies in architecture, urban planning, economic development, environmental science, and art history. He is proud to lead a team of talented professionals at the MEDC who love our community and believe that McKinney is where innovation, prosperity, and quality of life intersect.
