I ask for your support in honoring our family and raising funds to support the efforts of the Preeclampsia Foundation; fom raising awareness to patient support to funding research & education. This life-threatening disorder of pregnancy is one we are well acquainted with as are so many across this globe.

Our Story
With our first pregnancy, I developed HELLP Syndrome (class I) with our daughter at 34 1/2 weeks. Our daughter was born weighing 4lbs and spent 18 days in the hospital. Our second pregnancy took place under careful montoring and I developed gestational hypertension at 32 weeks, but was able to make it to 37 weeks before the things took a turn for the worse. Our son was born, weighing 5lbs 6oz and was able to come home with us.
As I began to learn and understand what happened to me in 2003, I found the Preeclampsia Foundation. I credit the friends I made through their message board with helping me make it through that second pregnancy as sane as I could possibly be. I have volunteered with the organization for 10+ years and preeclampsia & complications of pregnancy remain a cause I'm passionate about so many years after our experience.
