Hello, 

My name is Alyssa Bailey and this will be my second year walking for Pre Eclampsia awareness. I have experienced Pre-eclampsia 3 times once back in 2013 with my First daughter Ella. Secondly back in 2018 when I miscarried my twins and recently again this past January with my second daughter Maci. I have had rough pregnancies with all while I carried and developed pre-eclampsia signs early on. However beyond my daughter Maci having kidney issues I have luckly delivered two healthy baby girls, First daughter being NCIU second being placed directly in my arms. There are no words to explain the hardships the complications, the conversations or the pain I endured physically mentally or emotionally during all these pregnancies, it’s rough and there is no easy way to compare one to the other. However one thing I can say is there is no experience like it and there is not enough resources, information, people aware, or properly treating the condition and the severity of it. With this recent delivery of my daughter who has kidney issues, I found myself begging my doctor and the hospital to take my symptoms serious after a 2 month bed rest and a 3 week early delivery I finally got to have my baby girl, I was miserable. I pray and hope that by participating in this walk and by bringing light to pre-eclampsia I can save another mother from a situation like mine.
