My Personal Fundraising Page

Hello Everyone! My name is Sam Sunday! I have been going to WSCA for 6 years now, probably one of my best life desicions was going here. WSCA stands for West Shore Christian Academy, Fancy name eh? Fancy yes, but inside of the school walls we are a close knit family, I used to go to Public School and I never got close to God there, I was saved at a young age around 3 or 4 (Atleast thats what I think cause I've known God my entire remembered, life) When I started at WSCA, I felt closer to God than in any other school, now that I am in 7th grade, my strength of my relationship with God is stronger than ever. That is mainly thanks to my middle school bible teacher, Mr. Griffiths, who is so AMAZING, and my parents, Mr. Griffiths teaches me everyday about the bible and how to become closer with our Lord, and thank you to my parents for making Christianity such a big chapter in my life, and letting me be able to go to such a wonderful School. At WSCA we take care of eachother if he/she is hurting, the devil is always taking swings at us, sometimes he hits sometimes he misses, but that person, we want to let know that if you fall, your school family is right behind you. I usually don't to fundraisers (ask for money) but this year I wanted to help my school, because of how much they have done for me. Trust me in saying that your money will go to helping a child grow in, God, Education, and Courage. Thank you!

"Always Saddle your Own Horse" < My Favorite Quote,

For me, always saddling my own horse is important to ensure both my own safety and the safety and comfort of my mount. To properly saddle a horse takes a bit of patience and a measured cadence to ensure that everything is done with intention and in an orderly fashion. It’s a labor of love that gives me time to adjust from a hectic day of anything really to the focused world on horseback. We tend to do things quickly in the modern world, “the quicker, the better,” we are encouraged. For me though and for every experienced rider I know, the process of saddling a horse (or tacking up) is best done patiently and with careful intention. Brush the horse to remove dust and prepare him for the long hours ahead, pick his hooves to remove rocks and other offending objects, gently place the saddle pad high up on the withers and then slide it down his back a few inches in the direction of hair growth, add a decorative saddle blanket (I usually ride with a blanket), and swing the saddle onto the blanket with a gentle hand. Finally, adjust the entire set up for comfort of the horse, and tighten the cinch (essentially, the “belt” that secures the saddle to the horse around his girth). Each step is done in a precise manner and each step follows an important sequence. If someone else saddled my horse for me, how could I possible know it was done correctly? How would I know if the cinch was secure enough for my safety, but not too tight to restrict my horse’s breathing and movement? Cowboys saddle their own horses to take personal responsibility for the most important aspect of getting ready to do their jobs.
