We can’t get together in person as we have in past years to support St. John Center in its effort to offer the resources needed … finding housing, shelter and social services … so I am one of many hosting an on-line fundraiser to support St. John Center’s annual fund raising event, Raisin’ the Rent. 

I have been supporting St. John Center for over 10 years, providing IT Services, along with three others.  Our mission is to make sure the counselors and staff have technical services to efficiently do their jobs of serving the homeless clients.  Functional PC’s, Laptops, Printers, Desk Phones, Cell Phones, Internet access, WiFi access, Email, resetting forgotten passwords, assistance with the inevitable questions that arise in the technical world are all part of our gig.

St John Center does more than serve hot coffee!

Some basic information for the Fiscal Year that ended June 30, 2020
Street Outreach helped 1167 people and 57 were moved from the streets into housing.
The Day Shelter was visited by 2.101 different people, 60,153 times, an average of 164 per day.
179 were moved off the streets into permanent housing.  10% of those visiting are Veterans.
The Permanent Supportive Housing program had 103 men in housing, 96% retained their housing for 12 months or longer, 62% obtained or maintained income.
