The Linnehans GET MOVin' for Courtney!!!
If you know Courtney, she is always on the move! Courtney lives with Mom/Diane, Dad/Mike, and Teddy. We all chose a way that we can move to raise funds for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation (PMSF).
Everything we know about Courtney's rare disease is because of the connections and resources we have received through the PMSF. She has fantastic clinical care because we live in the Boston area, but there is still so much that is unknown about Phelan-Mcdermid syndrome, so her care team is constantly faced with complex decisions with little information. It helps to know other families and have close connections to breakthrough research and currently known clinical care guides, but there is so much more to be done - and that takes money.
So, we are so excited to "GET MOVIN" and raise funds and hope for everyone affected by Phelan-McDermid syndrome!
Starting May 22nd and going through June 12th, we plan to:
- Courtney - hike in her favorite places
- Dad/Mike - cycle 100 miles per week, no ride less than 22 miles
- Mom/Diane & Teddy - walk 2.2 miles per day
We will post photos so you can see what we are doing during the fundraiser.
