Meet Jack Jack--a lovable Maine Coon fluff monster that was apparently surrendered to the SPCA by his family when he was 9 years old because of a mouth disease called stomatitis. This autoimmune disorder causes the plaque on the teeth to become a constant allergen, causing painful mouth, gum, and throat inflammation. Jack was gross. He drooled blood constantly and was in clear pain all the time. It took us 2 years but we nursed Jack Jack back to health with good, quality food and lots of love. He wants everyone to know that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover; a little extra effort can go a long way in changing the life of a pet and your family.
