Scarlett, my sweet little dinosaur kitty, has entered the 2023 RAL calendar contest. Every dollar donated here (link below) equals 1 vote for her!
Scarlett is a 7 pound, frail little senior gal who showed up on our back porch in 2016 and decided we were acceptable humans. She has the softest, finest fur I have ever felt on a cat. She sounds like Godzilla when she meows. It is very clear that she grew up with dogs or young kids because she is vocal and cranky when you wake her up and is either on or off… wide awake or sound asleep…no in-between. Scarlett cannot stand for anything to touch her (ever) or for anyone to pick her up. She is completely deaf and sleeps 22 hours a day. Scarlett is fearless when presented with large animals, angry sister cats, vacuum cleaners and humans and does not hesitate to throw a paw. She’s probably about 16 years old at this point.
The first hour she is awake in the morning, she comes downstairs, hits the litter box, gets a few crunchies, grabs a swig at the water bowl and heads back upstairs to sleep. In that order. The other hour she’s awake, in the early evening, she comes downstairs, hits the litter box, gets a few crunchies, grabs a swig at the water bowl and heads back upstairs to sleep. In that order. Occasionally, if she notices activity in the kitchen, she’ll beg my husband out of some “gravy” or soft food with a special, high pitched squeaky meow. Then, she’ll repeat the sequence above.
Please vote for her and support RAL in their life-saving mission for so many deserving animals in the Richmond area.
