Communities In Schools (CIS) is the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization. For 40 years, Communities In Schools has been helping students achieve in school, graduate and go on to bright futures. Our school-based staff work directly on 86 elementary, middle and high school campuses in Central Texas. In addition to providing individual student support, they work to provide whole school supports, helping ensure school environments are safe and inclusive for all students.

This fall, more than ever before, students will need the support of CIS to be ready for school. Due to COVID-19, there's still uncertainty surrounding what school will look like in the fall. Will students return to a building? Will they still be schooling from home? Will they need laptops more than they need pencils? The answers to these questions are still unknown.
