Last academic year, Communities In Schools of Central Texas intensively served more than 9,000 students, ensuring that they had access to mental health counseling, tutoring and academic services, and basic needs support, including food, clothing (including shoes and uniforms) and school supplies. Making sure students have the right tools to be successful in school is a huge undertaking, and it starts with making sure every child shows up on the first day ready to learn – with the same supplies as their peers.
