Strava (Health) Widget

Want to add your Strava activity to your personal fundraising page? Follow the instructions below to connect and embed the custom code to this widget. To connect your Apple Health or Fitbit activity, join it to the Strava app and follow the instructions below.

----------------------------------------------------

  1. To start, log in to Strava account. Then, navigate to their Strava profile page.
  2. When the profile page opens, users will see a summary of their physical activity over the last four weeks. Participants wanting to display their workouts on their profile page must scroll down to the bottom of the profile page. In the bottom right hand corner, click the "Share Your Runs: Embed a Strava Widget on your blog." button. There must be physical activity recorded on the profile before this button will appear.
  3. A popup will appear that presents two styles of widget to display on their fundraising page. The first is the Activity Widget, which will display the user’s latest runs. The second is the Summary Widget which displays the user’s stats for the current week. For a virtual 5K seeing the summary of that week’s activity may be the most efficient way to track each user’s progress toward their 5K goal. For a 5K taking place on a certain date and time, the Activity Widget makes capturing the data from their 5K run easy to differentiate from the rest of the week’s physical activities.
  4. The user must then copy the code below the widget they want to use, and then log in to their peer-to-peer (Qgiv) event fundraising page.
  5. Once logged in to Qgiv, click the "Edit My Page" button. This will open their fundraising page and allow them to edit the content that’s already on the page. They will not be able to add any other widgets than those in the template.
  6. They should open the Custom Content Widget marked Strava. Then click Source
  7. When Source Is selected, they should highlight all the text in this box and paste their embed code from Strava in the body of the Custom Content Widget.
  8. Click Update to make the code work and embed the widget.

If participants don't want to use Strava or decide later they don't want to display their activity, they can hide the widget by clicking the Hide button in the editing UI of their fundraising page.
