As most of you know, I work for the Ronald McDonald House.  Every day I see firsthand how much good we do for the families we serve.  Most people don't think about the Ronald McDonald House because most of us thankfully don't have a need. Take a moment to think about it though. Imagine if your child were sick or were in an accident.  Now imagine that you have to take off work to be with your child.  Would you be able to afford a hotel for the days or months you may have to be away from home?  What about food?  Breakfast, lunch and dinner away from the ability to cook in your own kitchen, having to eat out every meal. Imagine if you had more than one child...what do you do with them while you are away?  

Ronald McDonald Houses provide a solution to all this.  We are a home away from home for families when their worlds are in crisis.  They don't have to worry about a place to stay because we are close to the hospital.  They don't have to worry about food because we provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are the warm, safe place that wraps around them like a blanket during times of great distress.  We allow them to focus on their child during a time when nothing else should matter.

The best thing about the Ronald McDonald House is that we offer all this free of charge.  We don't ask for one cent from our families.  We operate on donations only so fundraisers like this bike ride are so important to the organization.  Please, won't you donate today?
