This May I (Andrew) will complete the two year Teaching Holocaust and Prejudice Reduction Certificate Program at Kean University of New Jersey. To commemorate this important milestone, we will travel back to Poland in June to participate in the 10th Annual Ride For The Living, a 60-mile bicycle ride from Auschwitz-Birkenau to JCC Krakow.
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. To the world, Auschwitz stands as a symbol of the Holocaust and the unfathomable horrors of World War II. For us, it holds a deeply personal connection—our relatives once lived and thrived in this region before either immigrating to the U.S. or perishing in the Holocaust.
Donations for The Ride For The Living are tax deductible in the U.S. The funds will contribute to the 4-day Holocaust commemoration program for the participants and aid in rebuilding the Jewish community of Krakow, Poland.
