This is my challenge:
12 Snowboard Laps plus Kachina Peak on Friday 13th (ugh).
12 Ski Laps plus Kachina Peak on Saturday 14th.
$1,000+ in fundraising.
The total hiking vertical will be over 3000ft each day and the steep descents could be equally demanding depending on conditions. All this happens around the rarified air at 12,000ft. Each day concludes with a hike to Kachina Peak elev. 12,450ft.
It's not a given that I can achieve these stiff goals so please consider sponsorship to help propel me along.
The proceeds all go towards a great cause - the Emergency Medicines Fund at Taos Community Foundation. The event is named after Ben Myers, an avid Taos ridge-rat who was stricken at a very young age. The community rallied around the first Ridge-A-Thon to help fund his end of life care and this generosity continues 24 years later to benefit others via the Emergency Medicines Fund.
If you can think of others who might be interested in sponsoring, please share this post by email or on social media!
Thanks for your support.
