This is a pretty stiff ridgeathon challenge:
10 Snowboard Laps on Friday.
10 Ski Laps on Saturday.
Don't think anyone has attempted this combination before... Certainly not me or anyone I know.
The total hiking vertical will be close to 5000ft with descents on an array of the steepest chutes Taos Ski Valley has to offer. All this happens around the rarified air at 12,000ft. Each day concludes with a hike to Kachina Peak elev. 12,500ft.
I will need a lot of encouragement in the form of sponsorship: Please use this page to help me exceed my goal.
The proceeds all go towards a great cause - the Emergency Medicines Fund at Taos Community Foundation, which funds grants in the area of health and basic needs in Taos and Western Colfax Counties.
This is all in memory of Ben Myers, an avid ridge-rat who was stricken at a very young age and would have benefitted from the Emergency Medicines Fund if it had existed back then.
Thank you for your support.
