Be a partner in advancing education equity in Seattle!

What is City Year Field Day?
Formerly the Ripples of Hope gala, we’ve transformed our annual fundraiser into a Service Festival that has a direct, positive impact on Seattle’s students. The City Year community will celebrate our amazing students and public schools by engaging in service projects that promote students’ academic success and show our public-school teachers some much deserved appreciation! City Year Field Day will illustrate that investing in our young people benefits not only our students, families, and schools, but benefits our community as a whole.

What will I do at Field Day?
We invite you and your network to serve alongside 500 fellow City Year champions (outdoors, of course!) to assemble 4,000 student success kits and 400 teacher appreciation bags. Working in small teams of 10-20, you and your friends and colleagues will complete a small service project together, while taking breaks to enjoy Field Day games (think football throw, ring toss!), picnic snacks, and beverages. You’ll also hear from our AmeriCorps members about their powerful year of service in Seattle Public Schools classrooms and have an opportunity to make your gift to advance City Year’s work.

What’s our goal?
We have an ambitious goal to raise $500,000 at this event! Every dollar raised directly funds our vital Whole School, Whole Child program -- a holistic slate of academic interventions and social-emotional learning powered by AmeriCorps members for 5,000 students each year. Every contribution is valued!
