Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana
We have made the difficult decision to draw the 2020 Kilts for Kids campaign to a close, without holding the Crowning Party celebration as we had previously hoped. A big thank you goes to our 2020 event sponsors, Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation and the Whitman Family Foundation, and our six Kilts for Kids teams who raised over $10,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana. We hope you will join us for the 2021 Kilts for Kids, tentatively being planned for spring 2021.
Not all heroes wear capes...our heroes wear kilts. Every year, Kilts for Kids competitors raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Louisiana by soliciting their friends and families to vote for them. Every vote - a $10 donation - helps us provide a "home away from home" to over 483 families who travel many miles to receive specialized medical care for their seriously ill or injured child at nearby medical facilities. At Ronald McDonald House they find a free place to stay, meals to eat, transportation if needed, and a built-in support system where families help one another. Together, they face and overcome some of the most trying times in their lives.
