Do you know about Junior Achievement? Let me tell you. Junior Achievement is all about inspiring young people to own their economic success. Pretty amazing, right? JA teaches kids about work-readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. This is absolutely why I love my job. And, also why I bowl for JA. I am a terrible bowler – I should never bowl. However, I’ve seen JA in action with my own eyes. I’ve seen a 5th grader show up in a suit and tie, prepared speech in hand, ready to serve as a CEO of a business in a JA BizTown (I cried). I’ve seen 3rd graders create business plans for restaurants that they probably never would have imagined without JA. I am incredibly inspired by my organization. Junior Achievement hits their 100 year anniversary in 2019. That in itself is pretty phenomenal. JA has been encouraging young people to believe in their futures for 100 years.
You should be a part of this. But, please, don’t ever donate for my bowling score….donate for JA. Because JA changes your future because it changes how our children believe in their own futures!
