Swerve drives are important mechanism that propels Lansdale Catholics’ robot into motion. They allow the robot to quickly move in any direction while the robot is facing in any orientation. They provide swift maneuverability that enables the robot to be competitive on the field. After several years of enduring competitions LC’s current drives are beyond repair and new ones are needed. Four swerve drives are always on the robot and 2 are rotated in as spares when repairs are needed sometimes in the middle of a competition.
