Phoenix Bikes is a youth education program where kids learn the basics of bike repair, then fix up a used bike to donate to someone in the community who needs one, and then fix up a used bike for themselves. They can use their bikes to ride to school or to work, to race, to tour the DC area and most importantly, to have fun:) In addition to running youth education programs, we also fix up and sell donated and abandoned bikes and provide affordable bike repairs so folks in the community can keep riding! Chad and I served on the board together and saw firsthand the impact Phoenix had on the lives of youth and on the Arlington community.
