As most of you know, I work for Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado.  This is my "retirement job" because I want to stay connected to the youth in Colorado Springs and beyond.  At JA we work really hard to help students of all ages learn how to set goals, work towards those goals, and then be successful as adults.  Our programs teach about financial literacy-- the difference between WANTS and NEEDS, how our economic system works, and how to budget and save money.  We help prepare students for the world of work - workforce readiness.  Employers need people who understand how to work together on a team, arrive to work on time and prepared to work, and how to solve problems when they arise.  Finally, we teach about entrepreneurship!  Yes students-- YOU can own and run your own business....and be successful!
