Let's conquer homelessness together!
Dear Friends:
First, I want to invite you to a Soiree at the Denver Press Club (1330 Glenarm Pl, Denver, CO 80204) on June 7th from 5:30 to 8:00 PM so that I can personally thank you and buy you an adult beverage – Team Samaritan House members will be sharing stories...
For the past Five years, I have been part of the Team Samaritan House cycling team, and to date we have raised over $260,000 for the Samaritan House homeless shelter in Denver, Colorado (Over $120,000 raised last year – thanks!). Last year, Cap’n Tom Schwein, and I (co-captain) assembled a team of 19 riders and participated in the 30th annual Ride the Rockies bike tour. We had three injuries last year and hope to have ZERO this year…
This year will be my 6th year and we have grown yet again and now are “Collaborative Partners”. We have assembled a team of 33 riders for the Ride the Rockies bike tour. The 2016 tour will be June 12-17 -- 403 miles over 6 days and 29,782’ of vertical climbing!
“Team Samaritan House” is once again raising funds for the homeless, this time for the Samaritan House and additional Colorado Front Range homeless shelters. Included in the “shelter system” is Samaritan House which supplies close to 25% of the shelter housing available to families in the Denver area; Holy Rosary at Samaritan House which provides needed overnight stay for homeless women in the Denver metro-area; Father Ed Judy House which provides transitional housing and support for women and their children; and The Mission and Guadalupe Shelter which serves men, women, and children in Larimer and Weld country, respectively.
It is hard to believe how generous my friends and family have been – AWESOME!
At this time, we are accumulating pledges in support of our cause. Our goal this year is to blow past $150,000. To make it easier to track sponsors this year, if you wish to pledge, please click on my name at:

The Samaritan House Shelter has a great once again, as the old overflow shelter has become a women’s shelter. This year we learned that the largest growing segment of homeless is single women over the age of 60. If you want to pledge to a specific shelter, please indicate that. If you feel the need to write a check I ask you at that time to make your tax-deductible contribution payable to:
