In June, I will embark on an incredible six day cycling trip through the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I am part of a committed team of 33 cyclists that will participate in this year's Ride The Rockies to help raise money and awareness for the homeless in our community. We are Team Samaritan House!
Funds raised will benefit four homeless shelters including the Samaritan House in Denver. These shelters provide overnight stay and long-term residence with intensive case management. The ultimate goal of these homeless shelters is to help residents become self-reliant by providing needed individualized assistance.
Ride the Rockies will begin in Carbondale on June 11th and will conclude in Fort Collins on June 17th, riding 403 miles and over 30,000 vertical feet. The ride will be physically demanding and undoubtedly there will be some sore muscles. My motivation for this ride is, and will be, knowing the difference we can make in the lives of those less fortunate. Each dollar raised will truly change the lives of the individuals and families who call these shelters home.
May God bless you and thanks in advance for your consideration of this worthwhile cause!
