Dear Friends and Family,

I have just celebrated my second anniversary as the CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver and what an amazing and fulfilling experience it has been thus far.  The most gratifying thing about this position has been the amount my faith in Jesus Christ has grown as a direct result of the people I have had the pleasure to meet, work, laugh, cry and RIDE with.  Yes you heard me RIDE!

In celebration of my second anniversary at Catholic Charities I am about to embark on my second RIDE THE ROCKIES, (RTR) with Team Samaritan House.  I will be part of a 19 member team, (2 women and 17 men) who are all raising money to feed and shelter the homeless in Colorado.  This year’s ride will be 465 miles and over 40,000 vertical feet, the highest elevation gain in the 30 year history of RTR. 

Over the last four years Team Samaritan House has raised $140,000 dollars to feed and shelter the homeless along the Front Range of Colorado.  All the money raised by Team Samaritan house goes to support the Samaritan House and Father Ed Judy House in Metro Denver, The Mission in Fort Collins and Guadalupe Center in Greeley.  $0.83 of every $1.00 raised by Catholic Charities goes directly to the people most in need. 

Last year we provided 180,000 nights of shelter and over 430,000 meals.   In addition to food and shelter we provide one on one case management, life skills, money management and employment courses to support our clients desire to improve their lives.   

I would greatly appreciate your help to us provide a hand up to those with the greatest need.  A $100 donation will provide 62 meals or three nights of shelter.
