Team Samaritan house is making a difference!
I first rode Ride The Rockies in 2013 with my friend, Pete Dempsey, who met Tom Dea of Team Samaritan House during the ride. Tom shared the enthusiasm of the team and the great work being done by the Samaritan House network of homeless shelters and invited us to join them the following year. It is sort of a no-brainer to raise money for homeless shelters which are making a real and lasting difference in people’s lives.
About 15 years ago, I was a part of a group that put on a charity event for the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. I was energized by that experience of working with a good organization and making a difference locally. I also feel moved every time I see a person with a sign requesting help – wanting to help, but also wanting to not be foolish either.
Team Samaritan house is making a difference in the way that makes the most sense to me – one person and family at a time.
Thank you for coming to my webpage and thank you for any contribution you choose to make.
With Much Gratitude,
David
