The Grand Canyon Half Marathon. The Rut. 11 Miles To Paradise. 2019 proved to be full of great races! But none of them compared to running into the finish line of the Missoula Half Marathon, with two youth from the Missoula Youth Homes, by my side, cheering me on, helping me complete my 13.1 miles. It was one of the most emotional races I have ever run. I burst into tears, hugging both of them.

 This year, again, I will be joining forces with the Run4Kids team while fundraising for Missoula Youth Homes. This nonprofit organization provides shelter, care and encouragement to those youth who have been abused, neglected, homeless or  from drug-addicted homes. Their mission is" to help every youth feel safe, have a sense of belonging, and find a place to call home."

 I am committed to run 13.1 miles on June 28th, whether the Missoula Marathon is held as a public race or not. I will continue to fundraise for this amazing nonprofit organization. As I run these long miles, I will be running for a purpose: to provide hope to these youth!
