Running for Opportunity – Inspired by Ellie
With a deep-rooted commitment to disability inclusion, Bret has dedicated his career to advocacy, investment, and leadership that drives meaningful change for individuals with disabilities.
As a board member, speaker, and author, Bret has worked at the highest levels to influence policy, fund innovation, and push for workplace equality. Now, alongside his son Jack, he’s taking action again—running 260 miles from NYC to Washington, D.C. to raise $100,000 for a Day on the Hill lobbying effort to pass the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act (TCIEA).

The Mission: End Subminimum Wages
By running 260 miles over 10 days, Bret and Jack are advocating to end subminimum wages under Section 14(c) of the FLSA and ensure fair pay and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Their mission is clear: break barriers, influence policy, and create lasting change.
