About NDSC

National 501c3: Founded in 1973, NDSC provides information, advocacy and support concerning all aspects of life for individuals with Down syndrome, and their families.

Disability minded: advocates for policy improvements that broadly support people with disabilities with a focus on the Down syndrome community.

Full range of services: Policy Advocacy, best practices training for educators, clinicians and families.

"Day-on-the Hill"

Organized “Bootcamp”: multi-day event brings together families, professionals, and people with disabilities to learn, connect, and inspire change on Capitol Hill. Includes training on TCIEA and other relevant policy along with advocacy best practices so all participants make an impact during meetings with their representatives.

Will target 100+ participants: from across the country, including self advocates and their families.

Congressional meetings: culminates with one-on-one meetings with Senate and House Representatives and/or their staffers to discuss TCIEA and advocate for their support.
